1.No Data Collection by the Developer
The developer does not collect, store, transmit, or have access to any personal information or user content. Tracer contains no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.
2.Your Content Stays on Your Device
Screenshots, screen recordings, color samples, and annotations you create are stored locally on your device, in the locations you choose. They are never uploaded to the developer or to any server.
Text recognition (OCR) is performed entirely on your device using Apple's built-in framework. No image or recognized text leaves your device for this feature.
3.Translation Is Entirely User-Initiated
Tracer offers an optional translation feature that you choose to use. When — and only when — you actively request a translation, the specific text you selected is sent directly from your device to the translation provider you have chosen (such as Google or DeepL), for the sole purpose of returning that translation to you.
This transmission happens only as a result of your own action, is limited to the text you choose to translate, and is used only to complete that single request. The developer does not receive, see, or store this text at any point. Any handling of the text by the translation provider is governed solely by that provider's own privacy policy:

If you do not use the translation feature, no text is ever sent anywhere.
4.Your API Keys
If you choose to connect a translation provider using your own API key, that key is stored only on your device. It is never transmitted to the developer.

Tracer does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
